Happydog Services is a local dog care service based in Kona Hawaii. We specialize in obedience training, socialization, and excercise. Because we operate from local park communities, we are always available and can be at your door quickly ready to walk and play with your dog.

We are currently offering long term plans to dog owners who are in need of a reoccurring schedule, customized to the dog and owner. All services are available for long term plans and there can be multiple services on your customized schedule. We also offer convenient payment options. For all customers, we accept cash, check, PayPal, and all major credit cards. Invoicing is available for our long term plan customers only.

Why Socialization is so important.
Proper socialization is one of the single most important things an owner can do for their dog to guard against serious behavioral problems. For example, dogs that bite are often banished to the backyard, re-homed, taken to the pound, and even euthanized. Therefore proper socialization can mean the difference between life and death for a dog.

Why Exercise is so important.
Most people underestimate the amount of exercise their dog needs. Lack of exercise is one of the top three reasons for leash pulling, excessive barking, excessive digging, aggression, destructiveness, and general hyper behavior. These problem behaviors are not the underlying problem; they are actually a symptom of the underlying problem which is lack of exercise. Giving your dog adequate exercise can alleviate these behavioral problems.

Why Training is so important.
Obedience training teaches your dog to pay attention to you and bridges the communication gap between humans and dogs. Obedience training also aids in developing a leadership relationship with your dog. When obedience training is applied correctly and consistently, it allows the handler to maintain control over the dog even in the most distracted of times, such as chasing a ball into the street.
