Tek up!
It’s finally ready, well…almost ready. We’ve launched our first e-commerce site and are thrilled. It’s been a long time coming and it’s still a work in progress, but we couldn’t be prouder of our fist merch store on Squarespace. Our products are uniquely designed and always made with our ethos in mind.

Into the Light, Part I
Follow the form of your room when you are looking for a location to setup your tech. Pay attention to where light enters the room and how it may add glare to your screen. You may have to make trade-offs in location to keep the room’s aesthetics but generally speaking, if you plan ahead, you will wind up with a much more suitable and comfortable setup.
|
Into the Light, Part II
Adapt your gaming tech to any room by not using a desk at all. A rolling TV stand such as the one in this picture can be used as an alternative to a desk, or even an entertainment center. Most TV stands like this are compatible with media trays that can be installed optionally. They can also be purchased separately. Because the stand can roll, it makes for an ideal way to play augmented reality games that require more open space.

"Foresight"
There’s no doubt that video and photography are an integral part of social media design but sometimes the content of the picture in relation to the social theme you are designing for may be lost on the audience without some contextual information given. That being said, sometimes a good (or even a bad photo) that you took years ago may be more valuable today because it has added social value.
The picture above is a picture I shot from Mauna Kea located on the Big Island of Hawaii where stargazers from far and wide come to view the night sky. Unfortunately, due to a sacred land dispute, the site where the observatory is located was closed off in 2019, continued through 2020, and remains an area of contention to this day.
So, the pro tip here is, always keep your old photographs and look at them from time-to-time. You never know when it might be the last time you get to visit a place or to spend time with a loved one. Conversely, it could be an opportunity to make social commentary.

Art + Tech + Life
This is the future, 20 years ago. Obviously, we take and keep photographs for their sentimental value but I also started photography because I was interested in the instrument. I never thought I had the “magic eye” as some people did and thought I could compensate by just shooting as much as I could and eventually I would wind up with a useable image. I’m really glad I did that because I think pictures are like wine and get better over time.
Sometimes, you don’t realize what you have until it’s gone or in my case, lost. Most of my college photography was lost during a move and this is one of my last remaining photos. If you are old enough to have a collection of photography on paper or film, use scanning technology to preserve them the best you can. You’ll be happy you did.

“It’s Not So Scary”
Ask your friends to help you with your photography projects. If they say no, just volunteer them and then ask them to pose in strange and uncomfortable positions without any context for what they are doing.
Usually, they'll end up doing what you want because they're tired and just want to get it done as soon as possible so they can go home.

Your're Here.
Tekethos (Tech + Ethos) was started in 2019 as a database repository for the information I use every day in my work as a Graphic Designer. Over the years, I’ve accumulated large amounts of data. I began storing all this data on a private domain, and it later occurred to me that all of this information might convert into a formidable website that can serve my design work and potentially help other content creators and gamers like me. The website will continually grow as more data gets translated.

Under Construction.
Consolejunkies is a direct link that is currently being built to bring viewers to live streaming and pre-recorded gaming content. Our goal is to demonstrate the game but to also explain technology that can help you game better, and potentially help with your everyday productivity.
|
The Portfolio.
Kreativewerks was launched in early 2019 as a domain portal and to serve as an always-live portfolio. Kreativewerks, like all the websites within the domain, are designed and built from a blank template using a combination of open source and custom coding.
Hopefully, more works will be added over time.
